We decided to go to Arby’s for lunch around 1PM. It was nice to enjoy a beef’n’cheddar with my sweetheart. It’s the simple joys of life. After this, we decided we needed to get the car looked at. We took it to Midas and they told us to come back in half an hour minutes. The dollar store was nearby so we looked around for a bit. When we returned, they told us what needed to be done and said it would be about an hour and a half. So, we walked home and hung out there for a bit. However, when we got back to Midas the car still was not ready. Our poor little car was still on the lift. We waited for awhile outside, talking, dancing, talking and just being us. At one point a band set up in the parking lot next to the car shop and did a song, then packed up and left. We did our best to entertain ourselves but we grew tired and hungry. Occasionally we were updated on our car’s status but it was soon dark and it was still not ready. It was about 6:30PM when Ray went and asked what was going on and got a time estimate. He explained that we lived within walking distance and could go home and wait if we knew how long it would be. So, they made sure they had our phone number and said they’d give us a call. Home we went, to wait…and wait…and wait. Around 9PM Ray called to see if our car was ready and was informed he could pick it up. Yikes! So, he ran back to the car place and picked it up. It was a long day but at least it was finished. Ray needs it for work so leaving it would not have worked. Anyway, that was our Saturday. It was nice to spend time with Ray, even though we weren’t doing anything spectacular.
Today, was much like yesterday. We just hung out playing card games but it was still a nice day. I defintely got a lot of fresh air yesterday, but today it was kinda chilly. It felt more like fall up in NY than the spring feel of yesterday. Oh, and I found Coffee Crisp at the Dollar Tree!!! Now, all they have to do is bring Crunchie here!!! I miss my Canadian cuisine. I’m sad the week-end is over, because Ray must return to work but soon enough he’ll be off for Christmas break and I will get to see him lots! How was your week-end? Feel free to leave a comment and let me know how you’re doing!
