Blizzard Beach

My sister-in-law, Erika, has been planning a family trip to the water park for awhile. We finally set the date for September 10th. So, five of us packed into Erika’s car and drove to Disney’s Blizzard Beach. I was nervous when I first thought about going to a waterpark, but then I looked it up online and was okay. However, by the time I got to the waterpark I was nervous again. We put all of our stuff in a locker and headed for the rides. There were a few I refused to go on, like Summit Plummet. Craig went on it and said he reached 58mph. Yikes! Fortunately, there was a nice lazy river to float around. It wraps around the entire park. We went around quite a few times on some nice, blue inner tubes. All of us went in one giant innertube for teamboat springs. Not being alone on the ride helped me get up the nerve. We splashed down a windy slide and then landed in a pool at the bottom. It was great. I think we ended up going down three times. I also tried a slide where two people go on with Ray. We ate lunch there and then they convinced me to go on the Downhill Double Dipper. It says you go 25mph. Yeah, I sure felt that. I did it, but I wouldn’t go down again. Definitely a rush. We left shortly after that because the park was going to close in about an hour anyway, and it looked like it was going to rain. It started raining just as we were leaving and just in the walk to the car, my dry clothes were wet. Um, that was that day. It was tiring but fun. I faced some fears and enjoyed some time with family and friends.

Yesterday, marked the anniversary of a horrible event but I must confess when I woke up I had something else on my mind. Ray and I had to get up early to drive to Orlando for our interview at the Homeland Security Office. Unfortunately, we didn’t bring enough proof of cohabitation so we have to find stuff to send in. We also had a different form to fill out. I was relieved he didn’t just dismiss us though. I really had no clue what constituted proof of cohabitation, that we actually have. It’s funny how hard it is to provide evidence for something that is so obviously true to us. I mean, I have known Ray for about five years, been married to him for one of those years and I love him with all my heart. We’ve had people visit us over the course of that year and can definitely attest to living with each other for that time. Of course, because other people try to cheat the system I guess, you just have to really be careful. ‘sigh’ I just pray that we’ll be able to send enough evidence and that I’ll finally be able to function like a normal human being in society. Plus, it would be nice to visit my grandparents in Canada. Anyway, I cannot complain too loudly though. Things have gone relatively smoothly for us and I trust that God will not put us into a situation that would pose a threat to our marriage. My parents faced a similiar problem, in that they had to prove that my brother was their son. I try not to misplace my frustration. It’s because people try to cheat the system and people try to sneak through that are real threats, that makes it hard for legitimate requests. Just pray that everything comes together for both Ray and me, and my family.

I’m looking forward to Thanksgiving next month. Ray let me cook him a Thanksgiving meal last year, but I have improved since then so hopefully it’ll be even better. Gilmore Girls is gonna start back up soon. It’s a small thing but it makes me happy. We’re still looking into moving too. Not sure when or where quite yet, I will be sure to let everyone know. Hope your week is going well thus far. Later!
