Sunday Sundaes

Ray and I are used to waking up on Sunday, to a call from one of the ladies from the church, asking if we need a ride. However, this morning our modem was down so the phone did not work. We missed church, but we started to read a book called Battlefield of the Mind: Winning the Battle in Your Mind by Joyce Meyer. It is a very insightful read. We shared some fellowship with one another and God. That was helpful to my day. It was a cold and rainy day, but Erika had told us we could borrow her car. We walked to where she works (fortunately it had stopped raining) and picked up her keys and the car. Ray and I got the stuff we needed at the dollar store rather quickly…but Wal-Mart took forever. Anyway, we did manage to get back in time to pick up Erika from work. Shopping has become stressful. I just don’t seem to like Florida… No matter how hard I try, it just does not grow on me. I am not sure what it comes down to, but I do miss my family tremendously. Less than two weeks until I see them, but it feels like forever! We went out for ice-cream and then lugged all our groceries up to the second floor. Erika and her boyfriend lent a hand, so that was a great help. That was my Sunday. I am thoroughly exhausted, rather stressed. I’m sure I am missing a great opportunity to put into practice what I read today. If only I were not so HUMAN. Bah! Well, pray I learn to either cope better or that God will open a new door for us. Hope to be more positive next I share. LATER!
