I am writing merely for the sake of writing at this point. All night (or "morning" if you want to be technical) I have tossed and turned, retrieving an hour of sleep here and there. I know I have slept but waking up every other hour is exhausting, so it’s not of much console. Every creak the house makes snaps me back to attention; people outside getting into their cars and driving off draws my focus away from sleep; and when the sighs and burbles of the house or the stirrings outside do not distract me from my goal, my mind is quick to step in. It’s just chalk full of anxious, stress inducing thoughts. I pray. When I start to have trouble again, I pray. I keep praying. The small amount of sleep I have actually acquired I attribute to God. I can’t think of a better sleeping aid. Seriously, we’re supposed to rely on Him, so it is not a bad thing to get dependent upon having to talk to Him in order to find peace long enough to fall into a sweet, oh-so-desirable, sleep. sigh
Yet, here I am…writing to a non-existant audience in the wee hours of the morning. Perhaps, if I ramble on long enough I will put myself to sleep 😉
So, what could possibly be on my mind that causes me to be so restless? The answer: way too much! And I could be typing away forever trying to fill whoever stumbles upon this entry about what "way too much" entails at this moment. So, I suppose all that is left to do is to pray and attempt to get some more sleep before my alarm goes off at 7:30AM and I must rise and shine for a 9 o’ clock appointment. I am seriously considering moving my alarm up to 8 o’ clock. meh Night!…er, Morning?
