I know you’ve all been eagerly checking my msn blogs to see what is going on in my life, and have noticed my lack of blog action as of late. This is because I had company visiting from New York! Mrs.Johnson, Chris (her new husband), Kristy, Brendon and Lauren. They just left, so I am sitting here wondering what to do after I complete this blog. Until then, I shall fill you in on our visit…
The Johnsons arrived late on Friday but stayed with family about an hour away from us. They all went to Disney World on Saturday, which is really neat. I am glad they got to do something big. Sunday afternoon they arrived at our home. We went to Wal-Mart to stock up on food together and then enjoyed Beauty and the Beast. Ray had to work, but the rest of us hit some of the thrift stores. I found some fun stuff for my family and me. Chris had to fly back on Monday, unfortunately. I felt badly he did not get to do much sight seeing. We had to go to Orlando to drop him at the airport. So, we found a mall and hung out there for a bit. It was a neat mall! The one where we live is so tiny. Um, after getting lost on the way from the airport to where I live, we checked out some more thrift stores and discount stores. I found so much neat stuff! Ray showed up from work with our new car! I was (and am) so excited! We all went to look at it and later we went out, so I got to ride with Ray in OUR car! It feels so good to know we have one. Tuesday was beach day. We walked along the beach picking up shells and having our feet splashed by the ocean. It was such warm day. We all wound up with minor burns. Burns still hurt though! Sunscreen needs to be applied and reapplied so often down here. I had a lot of fun at the beach since I have not been in a long time. Now that we have a car we’ll go more often, I am sure. We had some yummy food at a Chinese food buffet for dinner. Ray loved having seafood. Then we finished the outing with a trip to the dollar store, where Ray decided to buy a styrofoam plane…which I thought was cute. The evening was spent chatting and playing Scattergories. I love that game! Now, I am alone. Ray is at work and the Johnsons are on their way to the airport. ‘sniff’ Oh well, it was a nice visit and it is a beautiful day. Besides, Ray will be able to get home sooner than he would waiting around for a ride. I do pray he is not late though. Hope everyone else has been either enjoying Spring Break or life!
